Peter Armitage

Investment Partner

Peter is a chartered accountant with over twenty years experience of successfully investing in companies and adding value as a non-executive director. Peter spent six years with Bridgepoint (formerly Natwest Ventures) and then eight years as a partner with Apax Partners, one of the leading private equity houses in the world. He also has a full-time MBA from the Manchester Business School.

Peter is married with three children and lives in Huddersfield. Outside of work he is a keen rock-climber, mountaineer and fell-walker. He also enjoys more restful pursuits.

Mike Fell

Investment Partner

Mike is also a chartered accountant with over 20 years experience of investing in growth companies, firstly with Bridgepoint and then with Granville Baird (now Baird Capital Partners). At Granville Mike was the regional director responsible for the North of England and then was subsequently made the UK Managing Director, a position he held for almost 10 years. Mike has also held non executive directorships for a number of public and private UK companies.

Mike lives in Cambridge with his wife and three children. He enjoys watching cricket and playing golf. He also supports Liverpool FC.

Owen Trotter

Investment Partner

Owen is a chartered accountant with over ten years experience of private equity investing in both Europe and North America. Owen spent five years with Granville Baird (now Baird Capital Partners), firstly in the UK and then in Germany. More recently Owen was a partner in the Mezzanine Fund of the Royal Bank of Canada, based in Toronto.  During this time he has held a number of non executive directorships.

Owen lives in Cambridge with his wife and their dog. He is a keen squash player and a long suffering supporter of Lincoln City FC.

Mark Buttler

Investment Director

Prior to joining Key Capital Partners, Mark spent ten years with KPMG Corporate Finance advising on middle-market private equity and M&A transactions across a range of sectors, with particular experience in the information and communication sector. Having initially trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, Mark is also a Fellow of the Securities & Investment Institute.

Mark lives in Leeds with his wife. He is a keen skier, and is a football and cricket fan. His other interests include food and wine, counterbalanced by regular sessions at the gym.

Chris Sheasby

Investment Manager

Joining Key Capital Partners from Deloitte, Chris has significant expertise in deal origination and corporate finance, as well as outstanding expertise in healthcare. Before qualifying as an accountant with Deloitte and receiving the ICAEW Order of Merit Award for East Anglia, Chris achieved a PhD in Immunology at University College London.


Chris lives in Royston with his wife and son. In his spare time he likes walking, bird watching and gardening. Chris also enjoys watching the highs and (mostly) lows of Watford FC.
