“I love being involved in the start of a process, doing the initial research into company and sector profiles. But engaging with dynamic businesses and, further down the line, seeing the fruition of how we have helped these businesses really makes my day.”
My main role at KCP is to identify exciting and ambitious businesses that require funding to take their business to the next level. I find the educational process of my role very rewarding and enjoy helping SME owners see the benefits of private equity funding. I also support the investment team on both portfolio and investment activities using market research, desktop evaluation and key contact introductions.
I took a slightly unusual route into the accountancy profession and studied towards the Chartered Accountancy qualification after leaving college. While studying I worked at a regional accountancy practice where I gained valuable experience in all aspects of finance and worked on businesses ranging in size. After qualifying in 2008, I moved into a Corporate Finance role, heavily skewed towards Transaction Services, spending eight years assisting private equity, banks and acquisitive corporates, both in the UK and overseas, with their financial due diligence requirements. I joined KCP in 2016 and haven’t looked back since!
Outside of work I have two demanding children and a golf mad husband to contend with. However, when I do find time for myself, I love catching up with friends over a drink or two and enjoy pushing myself at my local gym.
