The business...

The business has extensive experience in caring for and supporting clients with a variety of healthcare needs, including palliative care, complex childcare, degenerative conditions, spinal injuries, brain injuries and also mental health and learning disabilities.

Routes now operates across 14 branches located across the North of England providing c.27,000 hours of care a week through 700 carers.

The deal...

In 2009, Andrew Healing, one of the original founders, bought out the Northern offices of the company. Subsequently, the business thrived, opening five branches and making a small acquisition based in the North East.

Following a period of rapid growth, Andrew was looking to crystallise some of the value he and his wife had built to date, prior to commencing a more aggressive organic and acquisitive growth strategy for the business.

KCP supported the equity release/development capital transaction in July 2016 with an £4 million investment.
